Bear-isms

Okay, here are a few things that my 5 year old has said this week to make me chuckle...

He lost one of his top teeth and it is surprising how it has changed his charming smile. I looked at his face and said:

"Oh Bear, I'm gonna miss that tooth."
And he simply stated "Why Mom? It's just gonna grow back!"

(He got a chocolate coin, One Dollar and a Fairy Ring---the fairy ring was a complete surprise to me---as that was the doing of his older brother Big D who had read about said ring in a Library book. Cute brother.)

After picking up Kyden from Kindergarten a couple days ago---we saw an elderly man standing close to the school smoking (What?) When we passed him, this was Ky's dialogue...

"That man is sooo old. Old people usually know a lot. I wonder why he doesn't know enough to not smoke."

I made 5 loaves of homemade bread the other day, and Bear and Pop "helped" as always. When the last loaves were in the oven, he made a big show of breathing in the delicious smell, let out a big sigh and then said.

"Oh they smell so good. I hope you don't have to go visiting teaching Mom so that we have to give some away!"

I was looking in the freezer and suddenly forgot what I was looking for---so I said out loud---"what was I getting?"
Bear said: "Chocolate Chips"
I said: No, that wasn't it.
Bear: "Oh...I wish you were looking for chocolate chips..."

Yesterday Dan and I had a big ol activity with the 15 year olds in our stake. It was called "Dynamic Dating" It was a blast! Earlier in the day, I was feeling pent up working on all the posters and hand outs--so I grabbed my bike and did a couple miles---and came back to pick up Kyden who did the last 2 miles with me on his bike! (He's a great date!! He suggested we do it again next Saturday---!) While we were biking---I said "Doesn't it feel great to be out here in the sunshine and fresh air?" And he just smiled and purely said "I love it!"

This is what it says on his report card that came home this week...

"Kyden is bright, fun, well-behaved, kind, helpful, enthusiastic...I could go on and on! Kyden is excelling in all areas of kindergarten. This handsome guy is sure a fun part of our class!"

Well, we are glad to not be the only ones who dote on this cute kid! We love you Ky! (Just don't touch his legos!)

Too cute...especially the chocolate chips remark. I'm so spacey these days I might have fallen for it!
