5 Kid Pile Up! & Why we LOVE summer!

Big D taught a class on light refraction and rainbows to the younger sibs--and then we made rainbow cupcakes (idea from Aunt Mindy) The class on light, cupcake creating and of course happy consumption was a huge hit!!
Tali was so disappointed that Rainbows did NOT have her favorite color (Pink of course) that we chose to make our rainbow cupcakes including her favorite color. Please do not question other colors you may see, cake mix and food coloring is NOT an exact science! Tee Hee!
Big Brothers dramatically reading to younger siblings! Look at that cuddle! This is the beauty of summer!
5 Kid pile up in the Family Room---may take hours to clean this one up! Look at poor tortured Mc, who mistakenly thought she would rest on the couch for a minute! Ha! 5 a.m. swim team is taking a slight toll =) !

Our summer craft this year was glass etching. Found these cute square jars, bought the Armor Etching and Vinyl for the Cricut and had a blast. Took hours, but was simple and rewarding!

Each jar is different with a little personality from each kiddo!

Yea for the final project! A jar for all the little coins and treasures that kidlets gather along the way!
Hard to see, but first jar has a little cowboy, second one has a sea turtle and third has a fairy!

We had a few cousins sleep over and at 7 a.m. I walked around the house checking beds. Kyden and Maddie were missing, and I found them cute as can be playing checkers in the game room, whispering so as not to disturb a soul! Age 4 and 6!

Dan sent me a text saying that people who dress up as cows get a free combo meal at Chick Fil-A
on "Cow Appreciation day" We hurriedly tied on a few tails and cut out some spots---and had a fun lunch---Mc and Ky ended up on the news! Moooo! What we do for a free lemonade!

Big D on his way to Scout Camp! May he come back with a zillion merit badges and having expelled enough gas to satisfy those 12 year old crazy urges to shock, disgust and dismay!

Happy 4th of July!

I don't want Summer to end too soon! I love playing with my kids---and the creativity that accompanies a little less stress! Of course maybe after a 12 day road trip---I may alter that thought, but in the meantime---let's have some fun! Happy Summer to you cuties too!

Love the summer crafts and fun! Such fun! 12-day road trip -- good times baby! We just got back from a 10 day-er. And, ironically, we weren't ready to come home! We wanted to keep playing! :)
