Spring Break 2009!

Day 1: Trip to the Zoo as a Family! Bought Zoo Membership. Loved the Orangutans and the Giraffes. The Zoo was wonderful---and the spring weather is perfect!

Can you see the Common Squirrel Monkey in the tree?

One three year old orangutan to another...Field Trip to Dad's Work at ABC---took a tour---and then went home make Dinner together as a team and played a super fun game in the park behind our house!

Day 2: Went to our favorite park on Coaster Cars with Cousins and Friends, and went to the movies in the afternoon with friends! Soccer Game in the Park at night! Poor Bear practically fell asleep at dinner every night---we just wore him out!

Day 3: Not pictured: Friend Day and general fun (and a few chores---as we have no maid!)

Day 4: Also not pictured: More friends, then pizza party and hot tubing at the Breinholts house until nearly 11 p.m.

Day 5: 8 a.m. Another Trip to the Zoo, this time with 30 people--a lot of fun cousins! Met Dad for lunch---and laughed too much---as eyes glazed over from too much fun!

Check out those Darling Triplets! The Petting Zoo!

Day 6: Sleep over with cousins and fun art projects! Big Sighs begin as we realize we gotta get back to work soon! Pop has been practicing her "Crazy Faces" Here is one for you to observe!
Well we set about proving that we could stay in town and still play enough to have it be fun---Phew. I think we succeeded. But would you believe that after all of that...when I ask my kids what their favorite activity of the week was...Lissa answers me without a delay: Soccer Games every night in the park. Cute...who knew that it's the simple little things that mean the most!

Please don't tell my kids about this fun spring break. They are going to be spending theirs fetching diapers for their new sister :) Grandma will be here, though, so maybe she'll venture out with them.

What a cool mom!! I hope that I can plan fun things to do everyday. I loved the matching shirts too. It makes it easier to scrapbook when the colors are the same. :-) (If you ever find time)

Awesome!! Do your kids love the matching shirts thing, or do they think you're crazy (I mean, they know you're crazy, but you know what I mean)

Fun ideas!!

Would you believe that the matching shirts idea was the kids!? We thought we should definitely wear our new green shirts to the zoo, and then the next day Mc said how about our tye die shirts today? And it just evolved. I really had no idea we had that many matching shirts! Fun though!
