Random Thoughts

1. I'm writing a new script for refinement night, maybe in the form of a talk show, complete with commercials and etc! Modesty, Public speaking, nutrition...ideas??

2. In 2 weeks 4 of my 5 kids will be in school. Crazy. Bear is so excited and has reached NEW levels of overall hyperness!! (Whoa!) AND, I finally found a 3rd person who is interested doing a Joy type of school for their 3 year old. Lots of peeps sticking their kiddos in preschool early. Sad.

3. I have eaten lots of the treats that have been offered me over the summer---ugh---and it I can feel it-----back to the fitness drawing board friends ;)

4. Did you know that you can make a pile of sandwiches on the weekend and stick them in the freezer, and pull them out in the morning and stick them in kids lunches---AWESOME new trick I learned at the end of last school year, and fully planning to utilize that this school year!! (No taste alteration---can you believe it--even for PB&J!)

5. We are really not a TV family. Uhhh except that my hubby is a total NEWS guy! Overall though, the tube is not on (thank goodness) But we do like a fun movie on the weekend---and so we got a big ol TV and Blue Ray player that we have talked about getting since last year----AND it is so cool. It's connected to the internet--so you can see EVERYTHING on 50 inches of High Definition! That is mostly unnecessary frivolity, but it does make me feel like I'm on the Jetsons---and I wonder how I can get hooked up with the robot maid which would really be useful. Party at our house!

6. Mc and Big D have been in Boston this whole week---Wow! Having the time of their lives---going to NY as well---seeing Wicked with and all the sites!! Huge Thanks for Grandma and Grandpa. Big D said on skype today that he doesn't want to come home----as they are having way too much fun! Everytime I think of their fun adventure I smile. Grandma has been golden texting and emailing pictures nightly! Amazing fun!

7. My outside freezer died. When it's 110 outside---it doesn't just stop working---everything melts and spoils within a couple hours. The shrimp that I recently purchased---melted and "wept" all over everything else. Foul and ICKY! Things like that make me not want to be the grown up in the house!

8. Cousin party at our house this week, Lissa had a couple girlies her age over for swimming, nails and other fun---while older peeps were out of town!

9. I think I officially have some gray hair. I'm just rather surprised that I feel energized and moving---and I look in the mirror and realize that some of my hair has given up. Snap out of it friends---we still have lots to do! Sadly related, a guy at the airport (at the SouthWest counter) looked at my ID (in which I look amazing of course!) and he said "Wow Kimberly you are getting up there!" What???? Apparently, he went on to explain that he is going to turn 40 within the year, and he noticed I have less than 2 years--and he wondered how I feel about it. Wow---I said I would probably just wake up and keep on moving and shaking!
10. Have a happy week and soak up the summer fun!! Hugs!
