Wisdom from Bear

Yesterday 4 year old Bear was just being his fun,

hyper self and this was our "matter of fact" converstion:

Me: Who is cuter than you?

Bear: Pop!

Me: No, no one is cuter than you.

Bear: Yes Pop is cuter than me. People who are smaller are cuter mom. So Pop and Martin (our neighbor friend) are cuter!

Dad: (walking in the room chuckling) I think that is true...

Me: No way--Bear is cute

Bear: But Big D isn't cute at all.

I guess "the smaller the cuter" may be true if even a 4 year old knows it! It must be an unwritten rule. Mc has avoided dogs her whole life, I think it has only been the last two years that she hasn't jumped away from even a small dog, but the other day while babysitting, she apparently played loads with the tiny puppy. Small is cute, unobtrusive and lovable. That must be why kids start off as babies---they pull you in while they are so darling! But I still say 4 is pretty darn cute! Luckily Big D laughed good naturedly at his comment!
